EFT Tapping and Matrix Reimprinting are techniques that are rooted in
Energy Psychology and Acupuncture

The following is a definition by EFT Universe:
What is EFT Tapping? EFT means "Emotional Freedom Techniques" and is a powerful self-help method based on research showing that emotional trauma contributes greatly to disease. Clinical trials have shown that EFT tapping is able to rapidly reduce the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger emotional distress. Once the distress is reduced or removed, the body can often rebalance itself, and accelerate healing. EFT uses elements of Cognitive Therapy and Exposure Therapy, and combines them with Acupressure, in the form of fingertip tapping on 12 acupuncture points. Over 100 papers published in peer-reviewed medical and psychology journals, including dozens of clinical trials, have demonstrated that EFT is effective for phobias, anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, pain, and other problems.

EFT Matrix Reimprinting lists on their website:
Simply put, Matrix Reimprinting is a technique that connects people with their past traumas and core beliefs and elegantly enables them to transform them into supportive platforms for their lives. Whereas EFT is like watching a movie, Matrix Reimprinting is like being in a play.
Why do belief systems and our past traumas matter?
The power of our belief systems is undoubtable. Our beliefs shape our thoughts, provide fuel for our emotional reactions and shape our reality.

If we can change our beliefs, we can change anything!
Please find below a recent TEDx talk by Dr Peta Stapleton who is an associate professor for Psychology Master students at Bond University in Australia. She was also my trainer and mentor and is a very extraordinary and visionary lady. Her research over the years has focused on overeating, cravings and eating disorders and she has been well connected with other EFT researchers in the USA and UK amongst others. I love how she mentions EFT as part of the 4th wave of therapy/counselling. Only recently, Dr Peta was voted "Psychologist of the Year 2019" in Australia for her great contributions, amongst them her broad research into the efficacies of Evidence Based EFT Tapping. Her book, "The Science behind Tapping" was published last year and she has recently also received funding to research the effect of EFT on pain, as well as for a cancer trial.
